British Values

Promoting British values at St Mary’s.

The government has defined British Values as democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.  We promote these values through our own school values of LOVE, HOPE and COMMUNITY, through our wider curriculum and enrichment activities. The children develop class charters, vote on decisions as a class and learn about other faiths, beliefs and cultures in their RE lessons. We follow Coram Life’s SCARF program for PSHE which includes learning about British Values.
